The KENNAMETAL 1868421 is a solid carbide turning insert in the CNGP431 industry standard configuration, part of the KENLOC series. Finished with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating and a KC5010 manufacturer grade, this insert is engineered for high wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials. It features an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape, a neutral hand orientation, and a honed cutting edge style. The insert measures 12.9 mm in length with a 0.5-inch inscribed circle and a 1/64-inch corner radius. It is suited for medium machining operations and carries four usable cutting edges per insert, improving cost efficiency per cutting cycle. Machinists and CNC operators install this insert in compatible KENLOC toolholders.

This insert is rated for turning, facing, and boring operations. Its primary workpiece material designations are Steel (P), Stainless Steel (M), and Superalloys and Titanium (S), with secondary applicability to Cast Iron (K) and non-ferrous materials (N).
