The KENNAMETAL 1866000 is a solid carbide turning insert with a round (RCMT) insert shape and a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process. It carries the KC5010 manufacturer grade and an RCMT0803M0 industry standard number. The insert features an 8 mm (0.3150 inch) inscribed circle, a 1/8 inch thickness (0.1250 inch), and a 7-degree relief angle with a positive rake geometry. Four cutting edges are available per insert, and the full-radius round profile suits a wide range of turning, facing, and boring operations. This insert is held in place by a screw-on mounting method and is suited for installation by machinists and tool-room technicians working in production or job-shop environments.

This insert is designed for use on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium workpieces, corresponding to ISO material codes P, M, and S.
