The KENNAMETAL 1841355 is a VPGR334-style carbide profiling and turning insert manufactured to KC5010 grade with an AlTiN PVD coating. It features a parallelogram shape with a 35-degree included angle, a positive rake geometry at 10 degrees, and an 8-degree relief angle. The inscribed circle measures 3/8 inches (0.3750 inches), thickness is 3/16 inches (0.1875 inches), and the corner radius is 0.0625 inches (1.59 mm). With two cutting edges per insert and a maximum depth of cut of 0.2179 inches, this insert is suited for high-productivity turning and profiling operations. It is installed by machinist technicians and CNC turning operators in production and job-shop environments.
This insert is designed for profiling and turning operations across a wide range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It corresponds to ISO code VCGR160416 and carries material grade designations P10, P20, M10, M20, K05, K10, K15, K20, N10, N20, S10, S20, and H10, making it applicable to a broad spectrum of machining applications in both production turning and contour profiling. It fits the Top Notch series and is held in place with a clamp-style insert holding method.

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC turning technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct torque driver for the clamp screw as specified by the toolholder manufacturer — do not overtighten, as this can fracture the insert. Inspect the toolholder seat and clamp for debris or wear before seating the new insert.
