It belongs to the KENLOC series and is designed for single-point turning, facing, and boring operations on CNC and manual lathes. The insert features a 90-degree square shape with a neutral hand orientation, a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, and a 1/32-inch corner radius. The chamfered and honed cutting edge style combined with the MP chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip flow across a range of metal-cutting applications. The negative rake angle and zero-degree relief angle are characteristic of SNMG-style inserts held by clamp and pin systems.
This insert is rated for primary use on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium, corresponding to ISO material codes P, M, and S. Secondary workpiece material codes include N, P, and S, expanding its range into additional ferrous and non-ferrous applications. With 8 usable cutting edges per insert, the 1832325 is suited for production turning environments where insert economy and consistent edge performance are priorities. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the machine powered down and spindle locked. Seat the insert fully in the pocket before engaging the clamp to avoid rocking or misalignment. Inspect the insert pocket and clamp for wear or damage before indexing to a fresh cutting edge. Follow the toolholder manufacturer's clamping torque guidelines to avoid cracking the carbide substrate.
