The KENNAMETAL 1805932 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.3150-inch (8 mm) cutting diameter, a 0.7874-inch (20 mm) length of cut, and a 45-degree helix angle, this tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action in a compact profile. The three-flute geometry balances material removal rate with surface finish quality. Constructed from K600-grade solid carbide, it provides the hardness and wear resistance needed for consistent performance in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It ships uncoated (bright finish) and is center-cutting capable, allowing plunge entry into workpieces.
This end mill is suited for slot milling, peripheral milling, and finishing passes in CNC machining centers and manual mills across job shop, production, and tool-and-die environments. Its single-end, right-hand cut, right-hand flute configuration is the standard setup for conventional and climb milling on vertical and horizontal spindles. The 0.3150-inch shank diameter matches directly to standard collets and end mill holders in that bore size. It belongs to the KENNAMETAL F3AA series, which targets general-purpose solid carbide milling at this diameter range.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production end mill in the KENNAMETAL F3AA series for use in 0.3150-inch bore collets, shrink-fit holders, and end mill holders on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or lockout state before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the minimum recommended insertion depth for your holder type to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping, as excessive runout accelerates tool wear and degrades surface finish.
