The KENNAMETAL 1783275 is a WNMG432FW grade KC5010 solid carbide turning insert designed for high-performance metal cutting in CNC and manual lathe applications. It carries a PVD-applied TiAlN coating that improves heat resistance and tool life at elevated cutting speeds. The insert features a negative rake angle of 10 degrees, a honed cutting edge, and a wiper edge for improved surface finish. At 8.69 mm in length with a 0.5-inch inscribed circle and a 1/32-inch corner radius, this is a standard WNMG432 geometry insert suited for finish to semi-finish turning. It is installed by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.

This insert is built for turning, facing, and boring operations on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium workpieces. Installation Notes

Seat the insert fully in the pocket and confirm the clamp and pin are secure before starting any cut. Do not exceed the rated maximum depth of cut of 0.0492 inches (1.25 mm) without verifying toolholder and workpiece rigidity.
