The KENNAMETAL 1712586 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ANSI and ISO designation SPHX1205ZCERGP in manufacturer grade KC520M. This double-sided, square-shaped insert features a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, delivering hardness and thermal resistance suited for high-speed milling operations. With 8 cutting edges per insert, a positive rake angle of 30 degrees, and a honed cutting edge style, the 1712586 is engineered to reduce cutting forces and extend tool life in demanding milling applications.
