The KENNAMETAL 1623193 is a solid carbide turning insert in the CCGT2152HP geometry, grade KC5410, designed for precision finishing operations on non-ferrous metals and aluminum. It carries a PVD-applied TiB2 coating that delivers high wear resistance while maintaining a sharp, positive rake cutting edge. The insert measures 6.45 mm (0.2539 inches) in length with a 1/4 inch inscribed circle and a 1/32 inch corner radius. The 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape, 7-degree relief angle, and 15-degree positive rake angle combine to produce clean, low-force cuts on soft and abrasive non-ferrous workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC turning specialists are the primary installers of this insert type.

This insert is suited for finishing passes in turning, facing, and boring applications where tight tolerances and fine surface finishes are required on aluminum and other non-ferrous metals.
