The KENNAMETAL 1612950 is a DNMG431FN cermet turning insert in the KENLOC series, finished with a multilayer PVD TiN/TiCN/TiN coating and graded KT315. The insert features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) shape, a 0.5 inch inscribed circle, and a corner radius of 0.0156 inches (1/64 inch). Insert length is 15.5 mm (0.611 inches), thickness is 3/16 inch, and the FN chip breaker geometry is optimized for finishing operations. With four cutting edges and a negative rake/negative relief (0-degree relief) configuration, this insert delivers high wear resistance across steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpiece materials. It is installed by licensed machinists and CNC operators on indexable turning toolholders.

This insert is suited for general turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring applications. Compatibility

Installation Notes
