The body is machined from steel and accepts two DFT0302 indexable inserts, allowing insert replacement without removing the drill body from the machine. It is rated for a maximum drill depth of 1.75 inches at a 2.5xD depth-to-diameter ratio, with an overall length of 5 inches. The 3/4-inch Weldon Flat and Flange straight shank provides secure clamping in standard toolholders. Coolant-through capability is built in, with both axial concentric entry and 1/8-27 threaded coolant ports at the body side and shank end.
