The tool accepts two DFT-style inserts and delivers a maximum drill depth of 177.8mm (7 inches) with a maximum drill diameter of 47.63mm (1.875 inches). Built from steel construction with a 1.5-inch Weldon Flat and Flange shank, the 1522102 features axial concentric coolant entry to support through-coolant flow during high-feed drilling cycles. It is installed and operated by machining professionals and tooling technicians in CNC drilling and milling applications.
The 1522102 fits into standard machining center spindles and CNC drill presses that accept a 1.5-inch Weldon Flat and Flange shank. The DFT series design targets general-purpose drilling in a wide range of workpiece materials. Installation and setup should be performed by qualified machining technicians familiar with indexable tooling systems. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or replacing inserts.
