The KENNAMETAL 1519264 is a replaceable-tip drill body designed for precision deep-hole drilling in metal cutting applications. It accepts KSEM0750 series inserts at an insert seat size 2, allowing the cutting tip to be swapped without discarding the body. The drill covers a diameter range of 19.05 to 19.55 mm (0.750 to 0.7697 inches) and reaches a maximum drilling depth of 140 mm (5.51 inches), representing a 7xD depth-to-diameter ratio. A 25.4 mm (1 inch) straight-cylindrical shank provides rigid, concentric clamping in standard collet chucks or hydraulic tool holders. Through-coolant capability, delivered via a 3.50 mm (0.1378 inch) coolant hole, keeps insert temperatures in check and flushes chips efficiently during deep-hole passes.
This drill body is suited for production-volume and job-shop environments running ferrous and non-ferrous materials where hole depth demands exceed the range of solid carbide drills. The 7xD capability makes it appropriate for through-holes and blind holes in structural components, flanges, and machined housings. The KSEM platform is used across CNC machining centers and CNC lathes with live tooling where repeatable hole location and diameter consistency are required. A licensed machinist or tooling technician typically specifies and installs this tool as part of a programmed tooling lineup.
Compatible with KSEM0750 series replaceable drill tips at insert seat size 2. Part of the KSEM series platform. Confirm machine spindle coolant pressure meets the through-coolant requirements of your specific insert grade before use.
Installation and tool setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the program is locked out before loading or changing the tool body or insert tip. Torque the insert clamping screw using the appropriate KENNAMETAL torque key per the insert seat specification - do not substitute fasteners or use impact tools. Verify through-coolant supply pressure and flow are active before initiating the drilling cycle to prevent premature insert wear or chip packing in deep-hole conditions.
