The KENNAMETAL 1329937 is a replaceable-tip drill body in the KSEM series, designed for high-productivity hole-making in metal-cutting applications. It accepts KSEM1125 insert tips at an insert seat size of 7, covering a drill diameter range of 28.58 to 29.08 mm (1.1252 to 1.1449 inches). The body features a straight-cylindrical shank measuring 31.75 mm in diameter and an overall length of 273.05 mm (10.75 inches). Through-coolant capability is built in via a 5.00 mm coolant hole, supporting higher cutting speeds and longer tool life. This tool is installed by machinists and CNC operators in production machine shops and job shops.
The 1329937 is suited for deep-hole drilling operations with a depth-to-diameter ratio of 5xD, reaching a maximum drill depth of 150 mm (5.91 inches). It fits vertical machining centers, horizontal machining centers, and turning centers equipped with live tooling that accept a 31.75 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the machine powered down and the spindle fully stopped before handling any insert or tool body. Torque the replaceable tip according to the KSEM system tooling documentation supplied by KENNAMETAL - do not estimate clamping force. Verify coolant supply pressure and flow at the machine before running the tool at depth, as interrupted coolant flow during deep drilling can cause rapid tool damage or workpiece damage. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when setting tool offsets and running first-article cuts.
