The KENNAMETAL 1329710 is a replaceable-tip drill body engineered for precise, high-productivity hole-making in metal cutting applications. It accepts KSEM0875 insert tips at an insert seat size 4, keeping tooling costs down by allowing tip replacement without discarding the body. The drill covers a diameter range of 22.23 to 22.73 mm (0.8752 to 0.8949 inches), reaches a maximum drill depth of 120 mm (4.72 inches), and delivers a 5xD depth-to-diameter ratio suited to deep-hole production work. Through-coolant capability directs cutting fluid directly to the cutting zone, reducing heat and extending insert life. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, contract manufacturing, and production machining environments are the primary installers and users of this tool body.
This drill body is part of the KSEM series and is built around a 25.4 mm (1 inch) straight-cylindrical shank, making it compatible with standard toolholders and chucks sized for that shank diameter. It is suited to vertical machining centers, horizontal machining centers, and CNC lathes with live tooling where through-spindle or through-tool coolant is available. The 5xD depth-to-diameter ratio makes it appropriate for structural components, flanges, manifolds, and similar workpieces requiring deep, accurate bores in a single pass without peck drilling cycles.
Designed for use with KSEM0875 series replaceable insert tips, insert seat size 4, within the KENNAMETAL KSEM drill system.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing the tool body from the toolholder. Ensure the straight-cylindrical shank is fully seated and clamped to the toolholder manufacturer's specified engagement length before operation. Verify through-coolant connections are secure and confirm compatible coolant pressure is available at the spindle before initiating a drilling cycle.
