The KENNAMETAL 1310838 is a solid carbide turning insert with ANSI designation CPGT21505LF and ISO designation CPGT060202, finished with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating under the KC5010 grade. The insert features an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape, a neutral hand orientation, and a positive rake and side clearance geometry suited for finishing and light machining operations. The inscribed circle measures 0.2500 inches, the insert length is 0.2539 inches (6.45 mm), and the corner radius is 0.0079 inches. It mounts via a screw-on holding method. Licensed machinists and CNC turning specialists install this insert in indexable toolholders for turning, facing, and boring operations.
This insert is engineered for finishing and light machining on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and cast iron. Its KC5010 grade delivers high wear resistance to moderate wear resistance across ISO material groups P, M, K, N, and S, with secondary applicability in groups N, P, and S.
