The KENNAMETAL 1201033 is a solid carbide straight-flute die drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in cast iron and non-ferrous metals. Built to Series K411 standards and conforming to DIN 6537L, this bit measures 0.2813 inches (9/32 inch) in diameter with an overall length of 3.583 inches. The 130-degree split point reduces thrust and prevents walking at entry, while the web-thinned geometry improves chip evacuation. Coolant-through capability via a round coolant-hole channel supports continuous drilling operations in production environments. The bright finish on KF1-grade carbide maintains sharp cutting edges across extended run cycles. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die makers, and precision manufacturing technicians are the primary users of this bit.
This drill bit is suited for precision die work, mold making, and production drilling applications where tight tolerances and clean entry are required. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron and non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and brass alloys. With a maximum drilling depth of 1.59 inches and a flute length of 1.99 inches, it handles through-hole and blind-hole work in fixture plates, die blocks, and machined components. Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tool-and-die technicians familiar with carbide tooling requirements. Power down and lock out the machine before loading or changing tooling. Carbide bits are brittle and should not be used at feed rates or speeds appropriate for high-speed steel tooling.
