The KENNAMETAL 1199360 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill designed for precision hole-making in demanding materials. Built to DIN 6537L standards, it features a 130-degree point angle with web thinning for improved centering and reduced thrust. The 5.20 mm diameter cutting edge runs through a three-flute, regular spiral geometry with a tapered web configuration. At 82.00 mm overall length with a 44.00 mm flute length, this drill is suited for shop and field machinists working in cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys. The bright uncoated finish and K10 carbide grade make it a reliable choice for high-speed, dry or mist-cooled drilling operations.
This drill fits standard CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machines accepting a 6 mm straight cylindrical shank. It is intended for right-hand cutting operations and is commonly used in aerospace, automotive, and general metalworking environments where tight diameter tolerances and consistent hole geometry are required. With a maximum drilling depth of 35.00 mm and a diameter tolerance of 0.004 to 0.016 mm, it supports accurate through-hole and blind-hole work in production and maintenance settings.
Designed for use in cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys as stated by the manufacturer. Fits any machine tool spindle or chuck accepting a 6 mm straight cylindrical shank. Conforms to DIN 6537L specification for jobber-length carbide drills.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Secure the straight shank fully in a matched collet or drill chuck before operation and verify runout before cutting. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the workpiece is clamped securely before tool changes. This drill does not support coolant-through delivery; use external coolant or mist cooling appropriate to the workpiece material.
