The KENNAMETAL 1191415 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill designed for precise, repeatable hole-making in demanding materials. Built to DIN 6537L standards, it features a 130-degree point angle with web thinning for reduced thrust on entry, and a three-flute regular spiral geometry that improves chip evacuation compared to standard two-flute designs. The bright, uncoated finish suits applications where coating buildup or contamination must be avoided. At 3.10 mm in diameter with a 66.00 mm overall length, this drill is sized for tight-tolerance work in production and maintenance environments. It is installed by machinists, tool-and-die techs, and maintenance mechanics running CNC or manual drilling equipment.
This drill is suited for use in cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous materials, and high-temperature alloys. The K10 carbide grade offers the hardness and wear resistance needed when drilling abrasive or work-hardening materials. The straight cylindrical shank allows direct chuck or collet mounting in standard drilling setups. Maximum drilling depth is 23.00 mm, making it appropriate for through-hole and shallow blind-hole applications in both production and repair contexts.
Designed as an OEM-specification replacement or direct-procurement jobber drill for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machines equipped with standard collet or drill chuck systems accepting a 6 mm straight shank. Suitable for primary workpiece materials including cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys per manufacturer specification.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or maintenance mechanics. Secure the shank fully in the collet or drill chuck and verify runout before beginning a drilling cycle. Power down and lock out the machine before changing or inspecting the tool. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 23.00 mm per cycle without retracting to clear chips, as the three-flute geometry requires adequate chip clearance to prevent packing.
