The KENNAMETAL 1184126 is a solid carbide milling insert with ISO designation LFEW150304ERLN and manufacturer grade KC725M. It features a PVD-applied TiN/TiCN/TiN multilayer coating designed to extend tool life when cutting steel, stainless steel, and superalloys including titanium. The insert measures 0.6268 inches long, 0.3752 inches wide, and 0.1299 inches thick, with a corner radius of 0.0157 inches (1/64 inch). It mounts via screw-holding method and is oriented for right-hand cutting. The LN chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip evacuation across the targeted workpiece materials. This insert is specified by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop milling environments.
This insert is suited for face milling, shoulder milling, and similar indexable milling operations on steel (ISO P), stainless steel (ISO M), and superalloys and titanium (ISO S). Installation and indexing of milling inserts should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician with the spindle fully stopped and machine energy isolated per lockout/tagout procedures. Use the correct Torx or hex key specified by the cutter body manufacturer when seating the clamping screw — do not over-torque. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or wear before fitting a new insert. Verify insert orientation and hand designation match the cutter body before engaging the workpiece.
