The KENNAMETAL 1162186 is a solid carbide, uncoated turning insert with ANSI designation CCGT432HP and ISO designation CCGT120408. Manufactured in grade K313, this insert features an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape, a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, and a 1/32-inch (0.0313 inch) corner radius. The cutting edge is honed with a positive rake angle of 15 degrees and a positive side clearance, making it well-suited for light, precise finishing cuts. It mounts via screw-on holding method and carries 2 cutting edges per insert. The HP chip breaker geometry is optimized for finishing operations on non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium.

This insert is designed for finishing applications including turning, facing, and boring. It performs in both light-duty and moderate-condition cuts, with a maximum depth of cut of 0.0492 inches (1.25 mm). The K313 grade delivers high wear resistance with moderate toughness, targeting stainless steel (M), cast iron (K), aluminum and non-ferrous metals (N), and superalloys and titanium (S) workpiece materials. Installation Notes
