The KENNAMETAL 1161172 is a solid carbide, uncoated turning insert in the KENLOC series, designed for precision metal cutting operations in CNC and manual turning applications. This insert carries the ANSI code SNMP643 and ISO code SNMP190612. It features a 90-degree square shape with a 0.75 inch inscribed circle, a 0.0469 inch corner radius, and a 0.25 inch insert thickness. The K68 grade delivers high wear resistance balanced with toughness, making it well suited for machining stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. Installation is performed by qualified machinists and CNC operators using clamp and pin holding methods.
