The KENNAMETAL 1114906 is a solid carbide grooving insert designed for external grooving and turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries a KC850 manufacturer grade with a CVD-applied TiC, TiCN, and TiN multilayer coating, delivering wear resistance and heat stability during continuous or interrupted cuts. The insert has a 4.80 mm (0.189 inches) cutting width and a maximum depth of cut of 6.35 mm (0.250 inches). A positive rake angle of 10 degrees and a K-style chip breaker promote controlled chip flow in a range of steel and alloy machining applications.
