The KENNAMETAL 1114164 is a solid carbide grooving insert designed for precision external grooving and parting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Manufactured to the Top Notch series standard, it carries the KC720 grade designation with a PVD-applied TiN coating for improved wear resistance and tool life. The insert features a 2.39 mm cutting width, a maximum depth of cut of 3.81 mm, and a positive rake angle of 10 degrees. A corner radius of 0.19 mm and a K-style chip breaker support controlled chip formation in a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This insert is suited for right-hand grooving applications in both production and job-shop turning operations.
