The KENNAMETAL 1113907 is a solid carbide grooving insert in the Top Notch series, designed for external grooving and parting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries a CVD-applied multilayer coating of TiC, TiCN, and TiN, which provides wear resistance and extended tool life across a range of workpiece materials. The insert features a 0.250-inch (6.35 mm) cutting width and a maximum depth of cut of 0.250 inches (6.35 mm), making it well suited for moderate-depth groove profiles. The KC850 grade targets steel and cast iron applications where thermal and abrasion resistance are priorities. A licensed machinist or CNC operator handles installation and indexing.

This insert fits right-hand Top Notch toolholders and is appropriate for use on production turning equipment in both job shop and high-volume manufacturing environments. It is sized for insert seat size 4 and carries a neutral rake geometry with a 3-degree lead angle and a 0.0225-inch (0.57 mm) corner radius.
