The KENNAMETAL 1112574 is a solid carbide milling insert in the ANGT series, designed for use in milling operations on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. It carries the KC725M manufacturer grade and features a three-layer PVD coating of TiN, TiCN, and TiN for extended tool life and heat resistance. The insert measures 0.4090 inches in length, 0.2677 inches wide, and 0.1417 inches thick, with a 0.5000-inch inscribed circle diameter. A 0.0197-inch corner radius and a 30-degree rake angle support efficient chip formation in demanding cut conditions. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians install this insert in compatible milling toolholders.
This insert is suited for milling applications on P, M, and S workpiece material classifications per ISO standards, covering carbon and alloy steels, austenitic and ferritic stainless steels, and difficult-to-machine superalloys and titanium alloys. It is a right-hand insert with the LG chip breaker geometry, making it appropriate for moderate to aggressive material removal in production milling environments, both horizontal and vertical machining centers. The maximum depth of cut is 0.5000 inches. It is sold individually but subject to a minimum order quantity of 5 units.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before seating or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to secure the mounting screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specified method without over-torquing the carbide insert. Inspect the toolholder pocket and seating surface for chips or wear before installing a new insert.
