The KENNAMETAL 1095577 is an indexable threading toolholder designed for both internal and external threading and grooving operations on metalworking lathes and turning centers. Built to the NAS toolholder style, it accepts N.2L series Top Notch inserts secured by a clamp-style holding method. The left-hand configuration positions the cutting edge for right-to-left feed direction. The shank measures 0.625 x 0.625 inches square, and the overall length is 4.5 inches, making it compatible with standard tool turrets and quick-change post setups. Licensed machinists and CNC lathe operators install this holder in production and job shop environments.
This toolholder is suited for threading and grooving applications in ferrous and non-ferrous materials across both production and repair turning operations. The multi-use designation means a single holder handles both thread form and groove profiles when paired with the appropriate N.2L insert geometry. The head length of 0.75 inches and maximum depth of cut of 0.138 inches define its reach and cutting envelope. Coolant-through capability is not included in this model.
Designed for use with N.2L series Top Notch indexable inserts. Fits machine tool posts and turrets accepting a 0.625 x 0.625 inch NAS-style square shank toolholder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the machine before mounting or removing any toolholder. Verify shank seating depth and clamp torque per the machine tool manufacturer guidelines before running. Confirm insert orientation matches the programmed feed direction before engaging the spindle.
