The KENNAMETAL 1094737 is a steel indexable boring bar designed for internal turning and boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built to the A-STUN toolholder style, it accepts T221P inserts held in place by a screw clamping method. The bar has a 3/8 inch (9.53 mm) shank diameter and a 6 inch overall length, with a minimum bore diameter of 0.480 inches (12.19 mm). A -3 degree lead angle and a 0.25 inch center-to-cutting-edge measurement define its geometry. A built-in coolant-through channel with a 0.130 inch coolant hole diameter supports through-coolant delivery to the cutting zone. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this bar in standard boring bar holders or turret stations.
This boring bar is suited for small-diameter internal boring applications in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where consistent tool geometry and repeatable insert indexing are required. It is configured for right-hand cutting, making it appropriate for conventional lathe setups where the tool approaches the workpiece from the operator side. The screw-lock insert retention method provides rigid clamping and quick insert changes without removing the bar from the turret. It is a single-purpose, non-multi-use tool intended for dedicated boring operations rather than combined turning and facing passes.

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or changing the boring bar or insert.
