The KENNAMETAL 1094437 is a right-hand SCAC-style indexable turning toolholder designed for external turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. It features a neutral rake angle of 0 degrees and a 10-degree lead angle, making it well-suited for general-purpose turning where consistent chip control and insert seating are required. The toolholder accepts CC..32.5. series inserts secured by a screw-on clamping method. The shank measures 0.5 inches wide by 0.5 inches tall, and the overall length is 6 inches. Built from steel, this holder provides the rigidity needed for stable cutting in production and job-shop environments. Machinists and toolroom professionals are the primary installers and users of this toolholder.
This toolholder is intended for use in turning centers and engine lathes where a compact 0.5 inch square shank fits the tool post or turret. The SCAC style is a common configuration for external longitudinal turning and facing passes. The screw-on insert holding method allows fast insert indexing without disturbing tool offset settings, which suits high-cycle production turning. No coolant-through capability is present in this holder, so flood or mist coolant should be applied externally at the cutting zone as needed.
Designed for use with CC..32.5. series inserts, also identified as complete insert compatibility code CC.. 3252. This holder is an OEM-style screw-on turning toolholder and fits tool posts and turrets accepting a 0.5 inch square shank.
This toolholder is installed by machinists and CNC setup technicians using standard lathe tooling procedures. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing the toolholder from the turret or tool post. Ensure the insert pocket and seating surfaces are clean and free of chips before seating a new insert. Use the manufacturer-specified torque wrench and screw driver for the insert clamping screw to avoid under- or over-torquing the insert seat.
