The KENNAMETAL 1093535 is a slotted hydraulic chuck sleeve designed to adapt tooling within hydraulic chucks for precision machining applications. With a 7/8 inch (22.23 mm) inside diameter and a 1-1/4 inch (31.75 mm) outside diameter, this steel sleeve fits securely inside a hydraulic chuck body to reduce bore size and accommodate smaller-shank cutting tools. The head diameter measures 1.417 inches (36.00 mm), and the length under head is 2.362 inches (60.00 mm). Rated for 1500 psi hydraulic pressure and featuring through-coolant capability, it is suited for high-speed drilling, reaming, or milling operations where coolant delivery to the cutting edge is required. Licensed machinists and CNC tool crib technicians are the primary installers.
This sleeve is used in shops running CNC machining centers, mill-turn machines, or dedicated drilling cells where hydraulic chucks are the standard workholding solution. The slotted sleeve design allows hydraulic clamping force to distribute evenly around the tool shank, maintaining concentricity and reducing runout. Through-coolant support makes it well-suited for deep-hole drilling and high-feed milling operations where chip evacuation and tool cooling are critical. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with hydraulic chuck systems. Depressurize the hydraulic chuck fully before inserting or removing any sleeve. Ensure the sleeve bore and chuck bore are clean and free of chips or burrs before seating the sleeve to maintain concentricity. Follow the chuck manufacturer's torque and pressure specifications when re-engaging the hydraulic clamping mechanism.
