The KENNAMETAL 1086563 is an ER25 collet chuck designed for CNC machining centers and milling applications that require a hollow taper shank (HSK) interface. It accepts ER25 collets with a clamping range of 1.02 mm to 16 mm (0.04 to 0.63 inches), making it suitable for a wide range of tool diameters. The shank uses an HSK100 taper, providing high rigidity and repeatability at the spindle interface. Projection measures 3.937 inches (100 mm), and overall length is 5.906 inches (150 mm). A through-coolant design channels coolant directly through the spindle to the cutting zone, improving chip evacuation and tool life in demanding operations.
This collet chuck is intended for use in precision machining environments, including production milling, drilling, and reaming on CNC machining centers equipped with HSK100 spindle interfaces. It is well suited for high-speed applications, balanced to 15,000 RPM, making it appropriate for both roughing and finishing passes where spindle speed and tool runout are critical. Installation and tool changes are performed using a standard collet wrench actuator. The through-spindle coolant configuration supports wet machining strategies common in aerospace, automotive, and general metalworking shops.
Designed for CNC machining centers equipped with an HSK100 spindle interface and compatible with the ER25 collet series. Confirm spindle interface specification and coolant port configuration before installation.
Installation and removal of HSK toolholders should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician following the machine tool manufacturer's procedures. Power down and lock out the spindle before handling the toolholder. Ensure the HSK taper bore and shank are clean and free of chips or contamination prior to seating. Verify coolant line connections are properly sealed to prevent leakage during through-spindle coolant operation.
