The KENNAMETAL 1026114 is a CAT50 taper shank end mill holder designed for CNC machining centers that require secure tool clamping and integrated coolant delivery. The holder accepts a 1/2 inch bore and provides 4.62 inches of projection from the spindle face, giving machinists the reach needed for a wide range of milling operations. Through-spindle coolant is routed directly through the holder to the cutting tool, supporting chip evacuation and thermal management at the cutting zone. Balanced to 12,000 RPM, this holder is suited for high-speed milling applications where runout and vibration control are critical. It is typically installed by CNC machinists or toolroom technicians on vertical and horizontal machining centers.
This end mill holder is appropriate for production and job-shop environments running CAT50-spindle machining centers. The 1/2 inch hole diameter accommodates standard end mills and other shank tools of that size. The through-coolant design makes it particularly well suited for deep-pocket milling, long-reach operations, and hard-material cutting where flood coolant alone is insufficient. The 4.62 inch projection allows access in setups where a shorter holder would not clear the workpiece or fixture. Overall clamping depth of 6.81 inches provides solid tool engagement within the holder body.
Designed as an OEM-style toolholder for machining centers equipped with a CAT50 spindle taper and through-spindle coolant capability.
Installation and toolholder changes should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician with the spindle fully powered down and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Verify that the retention knob thread matches the drawbar specification (1-8) before mounting. Use the appropriate torque wrench and spanner per the machining center manufacturer guidelines when seating the tool in the holder. Confirm coolant passage alignment and holder balance condition before resuming high-speed operation.
