The KENNAMETAL 1018327 is a CK-style clamp from the Kenloc series, designed to secure indexable inserts in compatible toolholders during neutral-cut machining operations. This clamp applies consistent clamping force to keep the insert seated and stable under cutting loads, reducing the risk of insert movement, chatter, or premature edge failure. It is a precision tooling component used in turning, boring, and facing applications where insert retention and repeatability are critical. Machinists and tool crib technicians working in production and job-shop environments rely on Kenloc-style clamps as standard hardware for indexable insert toolholders.
The 1018327 CK clamp is suited for neutral-cut toolholder configurations in the Kenloc series. Neutral-cut geometry makes it applicable in both right-hand and left-hand turning setups depending on the toolholder design. It is typically used in CNC and manual turning centers, as well as boring bar assemblies, across light to medium-duty metal cutting applications in industrial manufacturing environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and service component for Kenloc-series indexable toolholders requiring a CK-style clamp with neutral cutting direction.
CK clamps are installed and replaced by machinists or toolroom technicians using the appropriate Torx or hex key as specified by the toolholder manufacturer. Before changing a clamp, ensure the machine is powered down and the spindle is fully stopped. Do not overtighten the clamp screw, as this can crack the insert or distort the clamp seat. Inspect the clamp seat and insert pocket for debris or wear before seating the new clamp.
