The KENNAMETAL 1013426 is a CAT40 taper shank end mill holder designed for use in CNC machining centers where secure tool retention and coolant delivery are required. The holder accepts a 1-1/4 inch bore and delivers through-spindle coolant directly to the cutting zone, reducing heat buildup and extending tool life. With a 2-inch projection, a 2-1/4 inch nose diameter, and a drawbar thread size of 5/8-11, this holder is built for production milling environments. It is balanced to 12,000 RPM, making it suitable for high-speed operations on vertical and horizontal machining centers. Machinists and CNC setup technicians are the primary installers.
This end mill holder is suited for use in production and job-shop CNC machining environments running CAT40 spindle tooling. The 1-1/4 inch hole accommodates end mills and cutting tools with matching shank diameters. The through-coolant feature supports high-pressure coolant delivery through the spindle, which is particularly useful in deep-cavity milling, difficult-to-cut materials, and high-feed applications where flood cooling is insufficient. The 2-inch projection provides adequate clearance for a range of workpiece geometries without excessive overhang.

Installation is performed by CNC machinists or toolroom technicians. The machine spindle must be powered down and the tool changer disabled before mounting or removing this holder. Use the appropriate torque wrench on the drawbar to the machine manufacturer's specification — do not over-tighten or impact-drive the drawbar. Verify coolant port alignment with the spindle before use to ensure proper through-coolant flow.
