The KECKLEY 1ffy-ci062p34-fbi-a7-400 is a Style A-7 cast iron Y-strainer rated for Class 125 service in gas, oil, steam, and water systems. The 4-inch flanged body connects inline to filter particulates and protect downstream equipment such as pumps, meters, valves, and control devices. A 1/16-inch perforated 304 stainless steel screen with 28 mesh captures debris while allowing full flow through the line. The bolted cover uses hex head cap screws and includes a 1-1/2-inch NPT drain connection for basket removal and cleaning. A fiber gasket seals the cover, and two 1/4-inch NPT plugged differential pressure taps are included for pressure-drop monitoring. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors typically handle installation in commercial and industrial piping systems.
This Y-strainer is rated for operating pressures up to 125 psi on steam service and up to 200 psi on water, oil, or gas (WOG) service, with a maximum allowable operating temperature of 450 degrees F. It is suited for residential and commercial hydronic heating loops, process piping, steam distribution, fuel oil supply lines, and compressed gas systems where inline filtration is required before sensitive components. The flat-face (FF) flange configuration is intended for systems with flat-face mating flanges, which is common in cast iron piping networks.
Designed as an OEM-style inline Y-strainer for 4-inch Class 125 flat-face flanged piping systems handling gas, oil, steam, or water service up to 200 psi WOG and 125 psi steam.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or plumber in accordance with applicable mechanical codes such as ASME B31.1 or B31.3. Always isolate and depressurize the line completely before opening the cover or removing the screen. Install the Y-strainer with the screen leg oriented downward or at an angle to allow collected debris to settle away from the flow path. Confirm flange face type and gasket compatibility before bolting up to avoid distorting the cast iron body.
