The JONES STEPHENS c76942 is a 1-inch diameter, 20-foot straight length of PEX-B tubing manufactured from crosslinked polyethylene. PEX-B tubing is produced using the moisture-cure (silane) crosslinking method, which results in a flexible, durable pipe well-suited for residential and light commercial potable water distribution. This tubing meets PEX 5306 standards and is approved for use with F1807 crimp-style insert fittings and F2159 stainless steel clamp fittings, as well as other compatible insert-style fittings. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this product as part of hot and cold water supply systems where corrosion resistance and flexibility are required.
This tubing is intended for potable plumbing applications in residential and light commercial construction. It is suited for new construction rough-in work, remodel projects, and repair applications where straight-length pipe is preferred over coiled tubing. The 20-foot straight length simplifies layout in open-bay framing scenarios and reduces the number of joints needed over long runs. Its white color is the standard identifier for PEX-B material in many supply contexts, though installers should always verify system color-coding conventions at the job site.
Approved for use with F1807 crimp-style insert fittings, F2159 stainless steel clamp fittings, and other compatible insert-style fittings. Designed for potable plumbing applications per PEX 5306 approval.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and depressurize the system before cutting or connecting tubing. Use the correct crimp or clamp tool sized for 1-inch PEX to ensure leak-free connections at insert fittings. Do not exceed the bend radius specified for 1-inch PEX-B tubing, and use bend supports or elbows at direction changes to prevent kinking.
