The JONES STEPHENS c76938 is a PEX-B crosslinked polyethylene straight-length tubing designed for residential and commercial potable water distribution systems. Measuring 3/4 inch nominal diameter with a 7/8 inch outside diameter and supplied in 20-foot straight lengths, this tubing handles a maximum working pressure of 160 psi and a maximum temperature of 203 degrees F. The flexible PEX-B construction resists corrosion and scale buildup, making it a practical alternative to copper or CPVC in new construction and repipe applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers. NSF/ANSI 14, 61, and 372 certification confirms suitability for contact with drinking water.
This tubing is intended for potable cold and hot water supply lines in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. The straight 20-foot lengths are well suited for longer runs with minimal joints, reducing potential leak points. It is approved for use with F1807 crimp-style insert fittings and F2159 clamp-style insert fittings, along with other compatible OD insert fitting systems. The white color aids identification in multi-line installations. Typical applications include under-slab runs, in-wall supply lines, and manifold-based home-run distribution layouts.
Approved for use with F1807 crimp insert fittings and F2159 clamp insert fittings, as well as other compatible OD tube insert fitting systems. Suitable for potable water plumbing applications meeting NSF/ANSI 14, 61, and 372 requirements.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and depressurize the system before cutting or connecting tubing. Use a dedicated PEX cutting tool to produce a clean, square cut at connection points, and verify that the correct crimp or clamp tool is calibrated for the fitting standard being used. Avoid kinking the tubing during bending; use bend supports or guides where tight radius changes are required.
