The JONES STEPHENS c76924 is a 1-inch diameter PEX-B crosslinked polyethylene coil tubing supplied in a 100-foot length for use in potable water plumbing systems. Manufactured to ASTM F876 and certified to NSF 14, NSF 61, and NSF 372, this tubing meets the material safety and performance standards required for drinking water service. It carries a maximum working pressure of 160 psi and a maximum temperature rating of 203 degrees F, making it suitable for both cold and hot water distribution lines. Plumbers and pipefitters install it in new construction and retrofit applications where flexible, corrosion-resistant tubing is preferred over rigid copper or CPVC.
This tubing is designed for residential and light commercial potable water distribution. Its flexibility allows it to navigate framing bays, crawlspaces, and mechanical rooms with minimal fittings. The OD tube end connection type makes it compatible with F1807 crimp-ring fittings, F2159 stainless-steel clamp fittings, and other standard insert-style PEX fittings. The white color coding is consistent with standard industry color conventions for cold or general water service lines, though the tubing is rated for hot water use as well.
Approved for use with ASTM F1807 and F2159 insert fittings and other OD-tube insert-style PEX fittings. Meets ASTM F876, CSA B137.5, and NSF certification requirements for potable plumbing applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the applicable plumbing code, such as the IPC or UPC, and local jurisdiction requirements. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting or making connections. Use the correct crimp or clamp tool calibrated for the fitting manufacturer's specification to ensure a leak-free joint. Avoid kinking the tubing during installation; use bend supports or bend restrictors at tight turns to maintain minimum bend radius.
