The JONES STEPHENS c76917 is a 3/4-inch PEX-B coil tubing in red, designed for hot and cold water distribution, radiant heating, and hydronic plumbing applications. Manufactured from cross-linked polyethylene, this 100-foot coil delivers flexible routing through walls, floors, and crawl spaces where rigid pipe would be impractical. It is rated to 160 psi maximum working pressure and a maximum temperature of 203 degrees F, meeting the demands of residential and light commercial plumbing systems. Licensed plumbers install this tubing as part of new construction or retrofit water distribution systems. Compliance with ASTM F876 and CSA B137.5 confirms it meets recognized standards for PEX potable water tubing.
This tubing is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, in-floor radiant heat distribution, and domestic hot and cold water supply lines. The red color coding identifies it as a hot-water line by convention, streamlining rough-in inspections and future serviceability. Its flexibility allows installation through bored framing members and around obstacles with minimal fittings, reducing potential leak points in a finished system. The OD tube end connections are compatible with standard PEX crimp, clamp, and expansion fittings available across major fitting systems.
Designed for use with standard 3/4-inch PEX crimp, clamp (cinch), and expansion-style fittings. OD tube end connections are compatible with fittings sized for 3/4-inch PEX-B tubing with a 7/8-inch outside diameter.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC or applicable regional standards. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the system before making any connections. Use a calibrated crimp or clamp tool appropriate for the fitting system selected, and inspect each connection for proper seating before system pressurization. Avoid kinking the tubing during routing; use a bending guide or support sleeve at tight bends to maintain flow cross-section.
