The JONES STEPHENS c76909 is a 1/2-inch PEX-B crosslinked polyethylene tubing coil supplied in a 500-foot length for residential and commercial plumbing installations. Rated to 160 psi and a maximum temperature of 203 degrees F, this tubing handles both hot and cold potable water distribution. The outside diameter measures 5/8 inch, and the white color coding aids in identification during rough-in. Certified to NSF/ANSI 14, 61, and 372, it is approved for use in potable water systems. Compliance with ASTM F876 and F877 confirms dimensional and performance standards expected by inspectors and AHJs.
This tubing coil is suited for residential water supply rough-ins, radiant heating distribution lines, and light commercial plumbing applications where flexible plastic pipe is permitted by code. The 500-foot coil format works well for larger projects requiring continuous runs with minimal fittings. Compatible with F1807 crimp-style insert fittings, F2159 clamp-style fittings, and other standard insert-type PEX fittings, giving installers flexibility in connection method. Plumbers and mechanical contractors working under IPC or UPC jurisdictions will find this tubing meets the standards commonly required at inspection.
Approved for use with F1807, F2159, and other standard insert-style PEX fittings. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation tubing for potable water plumbing systems where 1/2-inch PEX-B pipe is specified.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the applicable provisions of the IPC or UPC. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the system before making any connections. Use only tooling and fittings rated and listed for PEX-B tubing to ensure leak-free joints. Avoid kinking the tubing during routing and maintain minimum bend radius requirements per the fitting and tubing manufacturer guidelines.
