Product Description

The JOMAR T204 1/2 is a 2-piece gas ball valve designed for natural gas and propane distribution lines in residential and light commercial applications. Built with a brass body and chrome-plated brass ball, it delivers a 600 psi WOG pressure rating and seals with PTFE seat trim and PTFE/FKM softgoods for reliable shutoff. The valve uses female NPT connections on both ends and is actuated by a T-handle for positive open/close indication. Licensed plumbers and gas fitters install this valve as a service shutoff or appliance isolation valve in threaded IPS piping systems.

This valve fits threaded IPS piping in both new construction and retrofit gas service work. Its FNPT inlet and outlet accept standard tapered pipe threads per ANSI B1.20.1, making it compatible with iron, brass, and corrugated stainless steel tubing fittings commonly found in residential furnace, water heater, and dryer gas supply lines. The compact 2-piece body keeps overall face-to-face length minimal in tight rough-in conditions.

Installation Notes

Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber or gas fitter in accordance with local codes and the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC). Apply thread sealant rated for gas service to male threads only, keeping sealant clear of the first thread to prevent contamination of the valve seat. Pressure-test all connections after installation before restoring gas service.
