The JOHNSON LEVEL TOOL CS2 is a steel carpenter's square designed for layout and framing work in residential and light commercial construction. The square measures 16 inches on the tongue and 24 inches on the blade, giving framing carpenters and finish trades the reference surface they need for stair layout, rafter cuts, and board foot calculations. Numbers are permanently stamped into the steel for lasting legibility, and a clear epoxy coating provides anti-rust protection to extend service life on the job site. This is a hand-layout tool carried and used by carpenters, framers, and general contractors.
The CS2 is suited for residential framing, finish carpentry, and rough layout tasks where a reliable, straight reference edge is required. The built-in board foot tables and rafter tables are stamped directly onto the square, allowing tradespeople to work through common calculations without a separate reference. It is a standard framing square appropriate for both production framers and trim carpenters working on wood-framed structures.
Designed as a standard OEM-style framing and layout square for use in wood-framed residential and light commercial construction applications.
The CS2 is a hand-layout tool and does not require installation. Carpenters should inspect the square periodically for bends or damage that could affect accuracy. Store flat to prevent warping. Clean with a dry cloth after use to preserve the epoxy coating.
