The JOHN GUEST 24632LF is a lead-free brass hose bibb fitting designed for residential and light commercial plumbing systems. It connects a 1/2-inch push-fit inlet to a 3/4-inch male hose thread (MHT) outlet at a 45-degree angle, eliminating the sharp bend that causes hose kinks at the spigot. The 45-degree geometry is built around a one-piece 2.4-inch diameter mounting flange that provides a stable, no-movement connection point. Push-to-connect entry requires no solvents, clamps, or crimping tools, making it a practical choice for both replacement and new construction installs. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers.
This fitting is suited for outdoor hose bibb applications where PEX or compatible push-fit supply lines terminate at an exterior wall. The 45-degree inlet angle keeps the connected garden hose running parallel to the wall rather than angling sharply away, reducing stress on the hose coupling and the fitting body. The compact profile works well in tight wall cavities or close-clearance rough-in conditions. It is appropriate for residential potable water systems and new-construction rough-in scenarios where push-fit speed reduces labor time and lowers the chance of installation errors.
Designed for use with 1/2-inch PEX and push-fit (SharkBite-style) supply lines. The 3/4-inch MHT outlet accepts standard garden hose fittings. Fitting system compatibility is Push Fit at a 1/2-inch inlet and 3/4-inch thread size outlet.
A licensed plumber should perform installation in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure before connecting or disconnecting the fitting. Ensure the push-fit tube end is cut cleanly and squarely and inserted to the full 15/16-inch insertion depth for a leak-free seal. Do not over-torque the mounting flange hardware or apply pipe dope to the push-fit inlet.
