The JMF COMPANY 2527220209800 is a wrot copper, long-radius, 90-degree street elbow designed for use in refrigeration and plumbing piping systems. It features a male soldered (FTG) inlet and a female soldered (C) outlet, conforming to ASME/ANSI B16.22 and MSS SP-104 dimensional standards. Fabricated from C12200 phosphorus-deoxidized copper per ASTM B75, this fitting is suited for sweat-solder assembly in both new construction and retrofit applications. The long-radius geometry reduces turbulence and pressure drop at direction changes compared to short-radius elbows. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and refrigeration mechanics are the primary installers of this type of fitting.
This elbow is applicable across commercial, residential, and industrial installations involving plumbing and refrigeration piping. The refrigeration-side nominal size is 1-3/8 inches OD and the water-side nominal size is 1-1/4 inches. It is appropriate wherever a 90-degree directional change is required in a copper sweat piping system, particularly in systems where minimizing flow restriction at elbows is a priority. The street configuration allows the fitting to connect directly to the hub of another fitting without a short nipple, which is useful in tight-clearance installations.
Designed for use in copper sweat piping systems with a 1-3/8 inch refrigeration OD or 1-1/4 inch water nominal size, in plumbing and refrigeration applications meeting ASME/ANSI B16.22 and MSS SP-104 requirements.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or refrigeration mechanic in accordance with applicable local codes, the International Plumbing Code (IPC), or ASHRAE refrigeration system standards. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before cutting into existing piping. Clean all mating surfaces and apply an appropriate flux before soldering; follow flux manufacturer guidelines to prevent corrosion in the joint. Do not apply heat to a pressurized line or solder a joint while moisture is present inside the pipe.
