The JET 691203 is a JTM-4VS vertical knee mill equipped with a 3-axis Newall C80 digital readout (DRO) on the quill and X/Y axis powerfeed. The C80 DRO gives the operator precise positional feedback during milling, boring, and drilling operations, reducing setup time and improving repeatability. The integrated X and Y powerfeed automates table travel on two axes, reducing operator fatigue during long cuts. This machine is intended for installation and operation by skilled machinists and tool-and-die professionals in production shops, maintenance facilities, and machine shops.
The JTM-4VS platform is a full-size vertical knee mill suited for precision metalworking in commercial and industrial environments. Typical applications include face milling, end milling, boring, and drilling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 3-axis Newall C80 DRO with quill readout makes this configuration well suited for shops that require tight tolerances on depth-of-cut in addition to X/Y positioning. The X/Y powerfeed package supports production-style workflows where consistent feed rates are required across repeated setups.
Designed as an OEM-configured vertical knee mill package; the Newall C80 DRO and powerfeed components are factory-integrated to the JTM-4VS mill platform as supplied under this part number.
Installation and commissioning of a full-size vertical knee mill should be performed by qualified millwrights or machine tool technicians. The machine requires a level, rigid foundation and proper three-phase or single-phase electrical service as specified on the machine nameplate; verify supply voltage and amperage capacity before connection. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before servicing the DRO, powerfeed wiring, or any drive components. Consult applicable OSHA machine guarding standards and local electrical codes during installation.
