The JET 691195 is a knee-type vertical milling machine supplied as a complete package with a Newall C-80 digital readout (DRO) and X and Y axis powerfeed units factory-installed. The Newall C-80 DRO provides real-time axis position feedback, reducing manual measurement error during milling operations. The included XY powerfeed automates table travel on two axes, improving feed consistency and reducing operator fatigue on production runs. At 2,200 pounds, this is a full-size floor-standing machine intended for installation in a professional machine shop or industrial maintenance environment. A licensed millwright or experienced machinist performs the installation and commissioning.
The JET 691195 is suited for general-purpose milling work in manufacturing, toolroom, and maintenance repair operations (MRO) environments. Typical applications include face milling, end milling, drilling, and boring on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The integrated DRO and powerfeed package makes this configuration well-suited for shops transitioning from manual to semi-automated workflow without the footprint or cost of a CNC machining center. This machine is a single-unit (each) shipment requiring appropriate rigging and lift equipment for placement.
Designed as an OEM-configured JET JTM-2 vertical knee mill with integrated Newall C-80 DRO and XY powerfeed. Compatible tooling and accessories follow standard R8 spindle taper specifications typical to this mill platform.
At 2,200 pounds, placement requires a forklift, pallet jack rated for the load, or rigging crew — do not attempt to move this machine without appropriate lifting equipment. The machine must be leveled on a concrete floor of adequate load-bearing capacity before operation. Electrical connection should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for the voltage and phase configuration of the unit. Verify all axis locks, gibs, and DRO cable connections before powering on for the first time.
