The JET 690179 is a JTM-4VS-1 vertical knee mill configured with a 200S digital readout (DRO) on the X-axis and a table power feed assembly (TPFA) on the X-axis. This machine is built for precision metal removal in job shop, maintenance, and toolroom environments. The integrated DRO provides real-time axis position feedback, reducing setup time and improving repeatability on milled features. The X-axis power feed automates table travel, reducing operator fatigue during long cuts. At 2,250 pounds, this is a full-size, floor-standing vertical mill intended for permanent installation in a properly prepared shop space.
The JTM-4VS-1 platform is a variable-speed vertical knee mill suited for a wide range of milling, drilling, and boring operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It is used in toolrooms, production maintenance shops, fabrication facilities, and machine shops. The combination of a DRO and power feed makes this configuration well suited for repetitive production work as well as one-off precision parts. Installation requires a level concrete floor with adequate load-bearing capacity and a proper electrical service connection by a licensed electrician.
Designed for use as a stand-alone vertical knee mill installation; accessories and tooling compatible with standard R8 spindle toolholders typical of this mill platform.
Installation must be performed by qualified personnel familiar with machine tool setup and applicable electrical codes. Power down and lock out all electrical sources before making any wiring connections. The machine requires a level, structurally sound concrete floor rated for the full installed weight. A licensed electrician should verify that the supply voltage, phase, and amperage match the machine nameplate requirements before energizing.
