The JET 690159 is a full-size vertical knee mill configured for immediate production use, arriving with a factory-installed 3-axis ACU-RITE 200S digital readout (DRO) on the quill axis plus powered X and Y axis feeds. The ACU-RITE 200S DRO gives the operator real-time position feedback on all three axes, reducing layout time and improving repeatability on repeat parts. The integrated X and Y powerfeed units drive the table automatically, reducing operator fatigue on long cuts and improving feed-rate consistency. This machine is suited to toolrooms, job shops, and maintenance departments running medium-to-heavy milling work in steel, aluminum, and cast iron.
The JET 690159 is designed for professional machine shop environments where a rigid, full-featured knee mill is required. Typical applications include face milling, end milling, drilling, boring, and light contouring on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The factory-installed DRO and powerfeed package means the machine arrives ready to cut without requiring the technician to source and mount aftermarket accessories. It is appropriate for both production runs and one-off toolroom work where dimensional accuracy and repeatable positioning are critical.
Designed as an OEM-configured vertical knee mill for professional machine shop and toolroom use. Compatible tooling follows standard vertical mill conventions; consult the JTM-1050 documentation for spindle taper and table T-slot specifications.
Installation and commissioning of a machine tool of this class should be performed by a qualified millwright or machine tool technician. The machine must be leveled on a suitable concrete foundation before operation; refer to the JET JTM-1050 installation manual for anchor and leveling requirements. Disconnect and lock out all power sources before performing any service, tooling changes, or adjustments to the DRO or powerfeed wiring. Electrical connection should comply with applicable local codes and the nameplate voltage and amperage requirements of the machine.
