The JET 690158 is a vertical knee mill configured with a factory-installed 3-axis ACU-RITE 200S digital readout (DRO) and an X-axis powerfeed. The ACU-RITE 200S DRO provides real-time position feedback on all three axes, reducing manual measurement steps and improving repeatability on production and toolroom work. The integrated X-axis powerfeed automates table travel, reducing operator fatigue on long cuts. At 2900 pounds, this is a full-size knee mill intended for machine shops, maintenance facilities, vocational training centers, and industrial toolrooms requiring precision milling capability.
This mill is suited for ferrous and non-ferrous metal machining operations including face milling, end milling, drilling, and boring. It is appropriate for small-batch production, prototype work, and repair machining environments. The factory-installed DRO and powerfeed reduce setup time compared to field-retrofitted configurations. Installation typically requires a prepared concrete floor, anchor hardware, and proper three-phase or single-phase electrical service depending on the motor configuration supplied.
Designed as a self-contained machine tool; the ACU-RITE 200S DRO and X-axis powerfeed are factory-matched to the JTM-1050 knee mill platform. Replacement or additional accessories should be specified for the JTM-1050 column and table configuration.
Millwrights or qualified machinery installers should handle delivery and placement of this machine due to its 2900-pound shipping weight. A forklift or overhead crane with adequate rated capacity is required for positioning. The machine must be leveled on a reinforced concrete floor and secured per the manufacturer instructions before operation. Electrical connection must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for the motor voltage and phase configuration.
