The JET 690114 is a JTM-2 vertical knee mill configured with an ACU-RITE 200S digital readout (DRO) and an X-axis powerfeed installed at the factory. The DRO delivers real-time axis position data directly at the machine, reducing manual measurement steps and improving repeatability on production and toolroom work. The X-axis powerfeed automates table travel, reducing operator fatigue on long milling passes. This machine is intended for installation and operation by experienced machinists and toolroom professionals in light industrial and job-shop environments.
The JTM-2 platform is a standard vertical knee mill suited for toolroom, maintenance, and light production milling operations. This configuration ships with the DRO and powerfeed pre-installed, making it ready for tramming, tooling, and first cuts without requiring the technician to source and mount accessories separately. Typical applications include face milling, end milling, drilling, and boring on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces in a shop or manufacturing facility.
Designed as a self-contained vertical knee milling machine unit. Compatible tooling and accessories should be selected to match the spindle taper and table T-slot dimensions of the JTM-2 platform as specified in the JET documentation for this model.
Installation of a knee mill of this class should be performed by a qualified millwright or machine tool technician. The machine must be rigged and set on a level, reinforced concrete floor capable of supporting the load; consult local building and machinery installation codes before siting. All electrical connections must comply with applicable NEC requirements and should be made by a licensed electrician. Verify spindle rotation direction and lubricate all ways and leadscrews per the manufacturer service documentation before initial power-on.
