The JET 579000 is a circular saw blade designed for ferrous metal cutting applications. It features a 180-tooth configuration paired with a 225 mm outer diameter, 2 mm kerf width, and 32 mm arbor bore. The high tooth count produces fine, controlled cuts in ferrous materials such as mild steel, EMT, and structural tubing. This blade is engineered to pair with the JET J-F225 cold saw and is installed by electricians, pipefitters, and metalworking trades requiring clean, burr-reduced cuts on metal stock.
This blade is intended for use with the JET J-F225 ferrous cold saw in professional shop and job-site environments. Cold saw blades at this tooth count and diameter are typically used for cutting mild steel bar stock, tubing, pipe, and structural sections in fabrication and mechanical contracting work. The 32 mm arbor bore and 225 mm diameter are matched to the J-F225 saw arbor specification. Installation is performed by the operator following standard cold saw blade change procedures.
Designed for use with the JET J-F225 ferrous cold saw as stated by the manufacturer.
Blade changes on cold saws must be performed by a qualified operator or technician with the saw fully powered down and unplugged or locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout requirements. Use appropriate arbor wrenches for the spindle nut — do not use impact tools on the arbor. Confirm blade rotation direction matches the arrow marked on the blade before reinstalling the blade guard and resuming operation.
